Sri K V Nataraja Bhagavathar, aged 71 years, was born at Chidambaram to Sri G Venkatakrishnan and Smt. Padmavathy Ammal. His association with Nãma Sankeerthan dates back to his childhood where he learnt bhajans at the Nerur Sri Sadashiva Brahmendral Adhishtanam, Karur. He moved to Coimbatore when he began working with the TNEB. This turned out to be a blessing in disguise as he was introduced to Pudukkottai Sri Gopalakrishna Bhagavathaswamy and Sri Sanjeevi Bhagavthar from whom he learnt the nuances of Dakshina Bharatiya Bhajana Sampradayam of Pudukkottai.

Sri K V Nataraja Bhagavathar is also an ardent follower of H H Sri Sri Gnanananda Giri Swamigal. He was blessed with Sri Swamigal’s padukas which adorn his house and are worshipped to this day. The aradhana of Sri Swamigal is celebrated annually with great fervour at his residence.

He with his team collectively known as Gnanananda Nãma Sankeerthan Mandali under the guidance of Kovai Sri Babu Bhagavthar is actively involved in the propagation of Nãma Sankeerthan.
